Re: Constructive Critisism By: Phoenix[ak]
Thanks Neebu, L04DED, and Phoenix,
it's not that no one is saying it, it's just that some things go without
saying, or just have not yet reached the right ears.
All things go through cycles. At the start, Ninja and I recruited
like madmen. Then we ran Tourneys like madmen. We did diplomacy,
promotions, medals, Doled out cash for website, web-scripts, hosting,
our snazzy clan url: (clanakx.com). Ventrilo server, and more...
Then someone stepped up, (x1), and made our lives a bit easier.
Then more members stepped up, and recruited.
We had a significant UMS membership, and many Low money players.
Next thing we knew, we had a clan of almost 290 members, and
a command structure that could barely keep up with it all.
The need for more high command members became clear.
During the summer months, we began to have 3 commanders,
and 3 Lt. commanders. then 4, and now we have 5.
at one point we had nothing but the 2 leaders, when all of high
command left us 3 months ago. (cycle).
Each complaint, controversy, challenge, defection, betrayal, opinion,
activity, idea, initiative, new recruits, all, each, offers us new opportunities.
they have, and always will. (cycles).
The same goes with Life.
The degree of which one is able to point out problems is commendable.
However, the degree of which one is able to offer solutions to those problems
is admirable.

oh, p.s.
Facts are whatever Stalin said comrade.
The statistic that I was citing was the increased number of members
showing zero or green dsl. despite losing membership, (which happens, like your girlfriends),
our green dsl has constantly risen...
the only "Fact" I was concerned with when I made our brief history quote last summer.
And it has remained true since then.

I wouldn't call MiA a betrayal of clan AK. We were backed into a corner. It's not like we ran to clan game and said flood ak! do it do it! We left for our reasons, and the all the ones who went back, I guess couldn't handle being away from the mother clan. If you haven't figured it out by now, clan eB was not mutiny, kopec and I decided to change the name, although it was a bit earlier than we should have done it, and then we tried to see how long we could pretend that they mutinied and I quit sc. I think a few of you knew all along or figured it out quick (x1).
By the way, I really liked phoenix's post. He's quite articulate, and seems to have a grasp of some of the problems I had when I was in AK. About low money, you definitely have to step up with it. We recruited a lot of low money around August and September when I was in ak, but low money players have a way of ending up in x-17 or AoH. At one point Ak had about 15-20 active low-money players. But they all disappeared. And the trick to keeping low money players is often about skill and consistent gaming. As a recruiter you have to keep yourself close to your recruits and game with them as much as you can, because until they make friends you're their anchor in the foreign ocean. They need you to support them, just as a wingman would in a party full of strangers. Otherwise they're going to get uncomfortable and bug out. Or if they dont have anyone to play against they'll get bored and find a better clan. Don't recruit more recruits than you can handle playing/gaming with. That goes for anyone really.
